Suzette Bross
Suzette Bross examines the conformity of the modern landscape and our contemporary way of perceiving our surroundings at high speeds; her work effectively reinventes the landscape.

Bross has been exploring the modern landscape in Europe, the United States, and elsewhere. For her latest body of work, “Commute: Trucks” Bross photographed trucks as they sped by, blotting out the landscape. In many images, the shapes and forms of the vehicles melt away, creating ribbons of color that blend with and become the newly observed environment. The truck, perceived by many as a king of the road, colors our contemporary perceptions.
