Luis Gonzalez Palma (b. 1957) is a Guatemalan photographer who uses techniques such as collage, gold leafing, painting, and installation to create artwork that speaks to what people hold as sacred. His portraits stand out for their soulful gazes and rich tones. He is an internationally exhibited artist whose group exhibitions include the 49th and 51st Venice Biennale. Palma’s work can be found in collections such as The Art Institute of Chicago, The Daros Foundation, La Maison European de la Photographie, the Houston Museum of Fine Arts, the Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts, and many more.
